Jarvis ready for Euro action

West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis is hoping to impress new manager Slaven Bilic and play a big part for the Club in the final ever season at the Boleyn Ground.

Jarvis only made 13 appearances last season, but he is hoping a new challenge under Bilic will help him show his best form for the east London Club.

The former Wolves midfielder hopes to impress the new manager this week when the players build up their fitness at a training camp in Ireland.

With the Europa League first qualifying round taking place against FC Lusitans on July 2, Jarvis will be hoping to play a major role in the Club's European adventure over the next few weeks.

Jarvis said: “It feels a bit strange to be back this early on but it is always good to meet everyone and talk about the holidays. It is all good fun.

“I am looking forward to playing under the new manager. We will get to meet him this week and hopefully it will be very exciting.

“I am looking to have a big season. I was a bit disappointed last year but hopefully I will be able to kick-start (my career) this season.”
