West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho was full of excitement as he returned for the opening day of pre-season training and says he is fully fit to start the new campaign.
Sakho was forced to miss the final the month of last season after suffering a thigh injury against Stoke on April 11.
But the Senegal forward has been working hard throughout the summer to regain full fitness and cannot wait for the new season to get underway.
After scoring 12 goals in his opening season in English football, Sakho is hoping to have an even better campaign and be among the top scorers in the Premier League.
Sakho said: “I am happy to be back and see all the players. I would like to score 20 goals next season.”
Midfielder Matt Jarvis is also relishing the chance to work under Slaven Bilic and hopes to impress the new manager over the next few weeks.
Jarvis said: “It is always good to be back, see all the players and talk about the holidays.”
