Norman Galea founded the Maltese Hammers supporters’ club some two decades ago and has even been a Season Ticket Holder in the Bobby Moore Stand Lower for the past six years.
His daughter, Naomi, will be joining him for the final season at the Boleyn Ground and both are desperately keen to swell West Ham’s Maltese support at the new Stadium come August 2016.
“This year my daughter bought a Season Ticket next to me, so there are two of us and we're hoping to get quite a few Maltese Hammers to the new Stadium,” Norman explained. “I have quite a few requests already!
“It's going to be a massive move for us and it's the ideal thing to do. It came at just the right time. We’re very happy with the new signings and hopefully we'll have a good team, a top-ten team for the future.”
For Naomi, the appeal of becoming a Founder at the Hammers’ new home is rooted in a desire to be part of a unique period in West Ham history.
She explained: “Seeing my Club, the Club I've been supporting from when I was born, basically, seeing it grow. With the new Stadium, we're going to be even bigger now, so it's nice to be a part of it. Stories to tell in the future.
“I think we'll sell it out, West Ham are a bigger Club than most people think, especially here in Malta. West Ham are a big Club and are only going to be bigger.”
BRING YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO THE NEW STADIUM
Band 2 Season Ticket Holders can now go to reservations.whufc.com and use their login details to add their two fellow Hammers fans to their appointment. If you have not received your login details, please email [email protected]
Once all existing Season Ticket Holders have had their appointments, the remaining Season Tickets in all bands – as well as the new £289 Band 5 Season Ticket – will be made available to supporters on the New Stadium Season Ticket Priority List.
Demand is running extremely high, so we would urge any supporters wanting to buy a Season Ticket in the new Stadium to join the Priority List immediately at reservations.whufc.com to avoid disappointment, and secure your chance to become a Founder.
