Angelo Ogbonna says he is feeling sharper with every match he gets under his belt
Angelo Ogbonna was pleased to get another 90 minutes under his belt on Saturday as he continues to build for a massive season ahead.
The summer arrival played the full game at Charlton Athletic at centre-back, helping West Ham United keep a clean sheet in their latest pre-season warm-up.
The Italy international says he is feeling sharper with every match and cannot wait for the Barclays Premier League season to get underway.
"It was a very good game on Saturday," he said. "The important thing for me and the team is the conditioning and that's coming.
"We look confident with the ball and it was good to have 90 minutes to play and prepare everything for the next game.
"I like this team, this is what I wanted to do [in coming to the Premier League]. We want to play forward and we want to win.
"We want to celebrate the last season at the Boleyn Ground - that's important and we are in more competitions with the Europa League, so we're preparing well."
