The West Ham United Academy will be hosting Open Trials for aspiring young footballers during the school summer holidays.
The Hammers have a historic reputation for producing some of the finest home-grown talent in British football and you could be the next star to be unearthed!
Open Trials will take place at the following two venues:
• Beckton
• Hackney
The Open Trials will be open to players in the following five age groups:
• School year 3 – U8s
• School Year 5 – U10s
• School Year 7 – U12s
• School Year 8 – U13s
• School Year 9 – U14s
Please note that age groups are defined as of the 2015/16 season, so beginning on 1 September 2015 and ending on 31 August 2016.
Trials co-ordinator Lee Boyce said Open Trials give players an opportunity to catch the eye of Academy coaches.
“West Ham as a Club are moving into an exciting new era and the Academy will be playing a major part in that. With players like Reece Oxford who at 16 making his senior debut and Reece Burke who has already made several first team appearances, the academy is continuing to produce talent for the future.
“With this is in mind we will be holding more open trials at two venues this summer as we continually look to bring talented footballers into the West Ham Academy.”
