West Ham United cult hero Ian Bishop recounts his favourite Boleyn Ground strike for West Ham TV.
The long-haired midfielder, who became a fans' favourite during an eight-year career in Claret and Blue in the 1990s, recently returned to E13 for the Barclays Premier League visit of West Bromwich Albion.
Bishop, who is now based in the United States, picked his outstanding curler in a Division One fixture with Blackburn Rovers in October 1990 as his personal favourite.
"It was a midweek, and I think it was the best goal I ever scored," he said. "I nicked it off Kevin Moran in the midfield and went on a run. I think we had a three on two and I had men on to pass to, but I didn't get many goals and I had nothing else in my mind.
"It had to be a 30-yarder, didn't it. I have looked back at a YouTube video and I must have scored ten or 12 goals and when I think back, I don't remember scoring that many goals!"
