A pair of young Hammers have been called into England youth squads for international fixtures early next month.
Reece Burke has been named in the first England U20 squad of the season for their friendly against Czech Republic on Monday 7 September at Shrewsbury Town’s Greenhaus Meadow.
Burke, who is currently on loan at Bradford City, has six England youth caps to his name, having played four times for the U18s and twice for the U19s, and this is his first appearance in an U20 squad.
Also celebrating an England call is Sam Howes, who is in the U19 squad for games in Germany and Croatia.
Aidy Boothroyd’s side are preparing for the First Qualifying Round of this season’s UEFA U19 Championship and will take on Germany on Friday 4 September and Croatia on Monday 7 September.
