FT: Manchester United U21 3-2 Dev Squad

FT: Manchester United U21 3-2 West Ham United Dev Squad

FT: The final whistle goes here at the Leigh Sports Village with Manchester United the winners. It was a very tight, entertaining game which could have gone either way. We'll have reaction for you very shortly.

95: Last chance saloon. Josh Cullen has a free-kick on the edge of the box after Makasi was fouled...it's a great ball in to the danger zone but Pereira gets a strong fist to it and clears.

94: Joel Pereira does well to collect a lofted freekick on the edge of his area and with that could be the Dev Squad's last chance.

92: Reece Oxford has been instrumental at the back, ending several attacks, his distribution from the bench has also been a real asset to his side tonight. Having said that, he's just been replaced by Manny Onariase after one tackle too many.

89: Januzaj shows his class by holding the ball up while surrounded by three men. Rothwell and Wilson are replaced by Axel Tuanzebe and James Weir.

86: Time is running out and the frustrations are beginning to show. They deserve to get something from the game and they know it.

81: The Dev Squad are desperately pushing for an equaliser. Jordan Brown has put in a shift tonight as have Josh Cullen and many other of the young Hammers.

78:
Reece Burke puts in a great challenge to block Wilson's shot on the edge of the box. Corner to United, which results in Wilson trying an audacious overkick. Goalkick to the Dev Squad.

74: A glorious chance for the Dev Squad! Makasi has no right to win a header at the back post but he leaps highest only for it to fall wide. Cullen dives to make the rebound but it goes agonizingly over.

72: The workrate in this game has been second to none. Both teams have been running full throttle since the first minute.

68:
Alex Pike and Moses Makasi are on for Kyle Knoyle and Djair Parfitt-Williams. Januzaj goes close to doubling United's lead but he fires over when he really should have scored.

64: GOAL for Manchester United. Josh Harrop gets his second of the evening as he slots home Januzaj's corner. It looked like Howes had been fouled in the build up but the goal stands. 3-2.

62: Knoyle picks up a yellow card for holding back Kellett as he was about to break down the left flank.

60: The game has slowed down as both teams look to control possession. The tempo of the passing in this game has been excellent.

56: James Wilson fires a fierce shot at goal from the edge of the box which draws a smart save from Sam Howes. Reece Oxford goes into the book for a late challenge on Josh Harrop.

53: Kyle Knoyle does well to win his side a corner, which Page will take...it's a good delievery but United clear it away.

52: A brief break in play as two balls are booted out of the stadium. We're quickly back under way with the Dev Squad in possession.

49: Superb start again from the Dev Squad. Page takes on Januzaj and beats him before drilling a cross into Josh Cullen, he juggles it twice before attemtping an overhead kick. What a goal that would've been!

46: Jordan Brown and Djair Parfitt-Williams get us back under way. A big 45 minutes ahead of us here.

HT: 2-2 at the break and what a breatheless game it's been. The Dev Squad came flying out of the traps and deservedly took the lead. However, United regrouped a quickfire double looked to put them in control. The Dev Squad were given a lifeline just before half-time when Jordan Brown capitalised on a short backpass.

19.45: Two minutes added on at the end of the first half. Just enough time for Page and Januzaj to square up to each other following a 50-50. Both are booked and it's half-time.

19.45: GOAL for the Dev Squad. Jordan Brown makes the most of a defensive mix up and rolls it home from two yards. Superb pressing from the forward. 2-2.

19.44: Sam Westley makes an inch-perfect tackle to stop Andy Kellett in his tracks. United have a corner but it is dealt with easlily.

19.41: Manchester United win another free kick in a dangerous position. Harrop swings it in and it is deflected and out for a corner. The ensuing corner creates mayhem before Liam Grimshaw fires high and wide from close range. A big let off.

19.38: Sam Howes makes a great save, down to his left to deny another Januzaj free-kick.

19.32: The Hammers appear to have weathered the storm for now. United are enjoying more possession but the Dev Squad are working hard to make sure it doesn't amount to anything.

19.29: The wind in United's sails now as they look to extend their lead. Adnan Januzaj goes close with a free-kick on the edge of the box. The Hammers almost bounce back as Brown sets Parfitt-Williams free, he's baring down on goal but a United defender gets a toe in just in the knick of time.

19.23: GOALS for Manchester United. Just as I say that, United score a quickfire double. First Josh Harrop beats Sam owes at the near post. Just seconds later, they've taken the lead as Joe Rothwell slots home after a breakaway from a West Ham corner. 2-1.

19.20: Only 20 minutes into the game but this has been a superb effort so far from the visitors. The two Reece's have added some much needed steel.

19.15: GOAL for the Dev Squad. Reece Oxford rises highest to head home Josh Cullen's superb free-kick. 1-0 to the Hammers.

19.14: Lewis Page makes a terrific run down the left-wing beating three men before feeding Parfitt-Williams.

19.11: The game has become a bit scrappy after a series of free-kicks. The latest sees Cullen float an inviting ball to Oxford who flicks it on but the keeper rises highest and collects.

19.09: Another opportunity for Brown after Paddy McNair misjudges the flight of the ball. Donald Love puts a strong foot in just as Brown was about to pull the trigger.

19.07: Lewis Page does superbly to close Adnan Januzaj down and win a goalkick off him. Excellent work from the left-back.

19.05: The Dev Squad are growing more into the game as Diego Poyet looks to feed Jordan Brown, he gets to it but it runs out of play for a goalkick.

19.02: A frantic start from the hosts forces Reece Oxford to make a terrific tackle to clear the danger. Attacking intent from the start from Manchester United.

19.00: Both teams are out on the pitch, pre-game handshakes are complete are we're all set. Manchester United will get us under way.

18.55: Both sets out players have disappeared down the down tunnel for some final instructions. The stadium is filling up nicely and we're all set for a cracking match.

18.50: Following tonight's match, the Hammers' next game is at home to Norwich City on Friday 17 April at Rush Green. Kick off is 7pm, admission is FREE for Season Ticket Holders and U16s, £3 for adults. Your support, as always, is hugely appreciated.

18.45: As for the Dev Squad, they are boosted by the return of Reece Oxford, Reece Burke and Sam Westley who have all recovered from injuries having missed the last few games. Diego Poyet is also given a run out. Birthday-boy Josh Cullen captains the side.

Tonight's referee is Alf Greenwood, the assistans are Garreth Rhodes and Nicholas Hawksby. Robert Makin is the Fourth Official.

18.35: In the reverse fixture earlier this season, United ran out 2-1 winners in what was a very tight affair at Rush Green. If tonight's game is anything like the previous meeting, we'll be in for a treat.

18.31: Just under half an hour until kick off. Both teams are out on the pitch going through their pre-match warm ups. The fans are beginning to stream in, a big crowd is expected tonight. Tonight's game is also live on MUTV.
