Brown thrilled to pull on the colours

Pulling on the famous claret and blue shirt will never lose its appeal for Kenny Brown Junior.

The former Hammer, who played 63 league games for the club between 1991-95, formed part of a West Ham side for the F30 London Legends Cup at Leyton Orient's Matchroom Stadium last month.

Although West Ham came up short in their bid to overcome the challenge of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea, Brown revelled in the experience.

He explained: "It was brilliant to play in the F30 Legends Tournament. It was nice to see ex-players and players you used to play with, both at West Ham and the Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea boys.

"I spoke to a few supporters and people who came along and they enjoyed it too.

"There always will be a bit of rivalry when you're playing the other London clubs. When we used to play the Masters that was competitive too, but unfortunately we came up a little short this time.

"We can't move as quickly as we'd like to these days and we've all put on a little bit [of weight] but to be asked to play and represent the club still is very good."
