A box-to-box midfielder who can tackle, pass and score goals in equal measure, Antonio Nocerino joined West Ham United on a half-season loan from Serie A club AC Milan in January 2013.

Capped by Italy at senior level, Nocerino is a competitive player who can turn a game with his all-round abilities.

English football fans will also remember him as one of Italy's successful penalty-takers in their Euro 2012 quarter-final shootout victory over England.

2013/14

Joined West Ham United on a half-season loan from AC Milan on 25 January 2014...Made his West Ham United debut as a late substitute in the goalless Barclays Premier League draw at Chelsea on 29 January 2014...Sterted for the first time in the 3-1 defeat at Stoke City on 15 March...Assisted Matt Jarvis' opener at Arsenal as the Hammers went down to a 3-1 loss on 15 April.

International career

Capped by Italy at U19, U20, U21, Olympic and senior levels...Played for Italy's U20 in the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship...Featured for Italy U21 in the 2007 UEFA European U21 Championship...Captained Italy to victory at the 2008 Toulon U21 Tournament...Appeared for Italy at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing...Made his senior Italy debut in a 2-0 friendly win over South Africa in Florence in October 2007... Was part of Italy's squad at the 2012 UEFA European Championship finals...Scored a penalty in Italy's quarter-final shootout victory over England in Kiev at the 2012 UEFA European Championship finals.
