West Ham United will be hoping their good recent away form against Cardiff City will continue when they visit the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

In recent years, the Hammers enjoyed play-off success in the Welsh capital during the promotion winning season of 2011/12 and have only suffered defeat in one of their last ten matches away to Cardiff.

Two goals from Welshman Jack Collison saw off Cardiff City as West Ham United put one foot into the play-off final.

The midfielder struck the first after only nine minutes, nodding the ball home at the second attempt after Ricardo Vaz Te's cross from the left.

His second arrived just before half-time when he pulled the ball down on his chest and fired a shot from outside the box which took a wicked deflection past David Marshall in goal.

In the second leg, the Hammers confirmed their trip to Wembley with a comfortable 3-0 win.

Defoe got his second after 64 minutes and was on hand to complete the turnaround in the 88th minute when he grabbed the winner.
