Speedy winger Matthias Fanimo came up through the ranks at the Club's Academy and is presently an integral member of West Ham United's Development Squad.

The wide man made his first team debut in August 2012 when he appeared from the bench against Crewe Alexandra in a 2-0 second round win in the Capital One Cup.

Fanimo was again selected for the next round of the competition when he made another substitute appearance against Wigan Athletic in a 4-1 defeat. In the 2013/14 season the 19-year-old appeared for the first team when he came on in the second half of the Club's third round defeat to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup with Budweiser.

Replaces George Moncur after 55 minutes of the FA Cup with Budweiser third round defeat by Nottingham Forest…

2012/13

Handed his first team debut as a substitute in the 2-0 Capital One Cup second round win over Crewe Alexandra…Comes on as a s second half substitute in the 4-1 Capital One Cup third round loss to Wigan Athletic.

International career

Fanimo has represented England at U16, U17 and U18 level…He made his U16 debut back on 28 November 2008 in a 2-0 win over Scotland in the Victory Shield…Scored his first England U16 goal against Northern Ireland in a 2-0 win on 5 November 2009…Made his U17 debut against Finland on 3 August 2010…Debuted for England U18 against Slovakia on 16 September 2011.
