Hammers draw Everton in FA Cup

West Ham United have been handed an away draw against fellow Barclays Premier League side Everton in the third round of the FA Cup.

Monday evening's draw gives Sam Allardyce's men a trip to Goodison Park for the second time in as many months, following the narrow 2-1 defeat on Merseyside in November.

The Hammers have been paired with the Toffees on eight previous occasions in the FA Cup, with each side having won four of those ties.

Their last FA Cup meeting came in 1991, when the Hammers triumphed 2-1 in a sixth round clash. Eleven years earlier, West Ham saw off Everton after a semi-final replay before defeating Arsenal in the final.

In fact, West Ham have won the last four ties against Everton, in a run stretching back to 1963.

The east Londoners have a proud history in this competition, having lifted the trophy in 1964. 1975 and 1980.

The tie will be played on the weekend beginning 3 January and full fixture and ticketing details will follow in due course.

For this season's FA Cup campaign, apart from when there is a kit clash, the Hammers will be clad in their smart purple, gold and black third kit, which is available from Club Stores and online now.
