Arsenal 0-2 West Ham United
30 April 1994
Premier League

Upon their return to the top flight, Billy Bonds' West Ham United took their tally to 50 points with this 2-0 win at Highbury 21 years ago.

After successive 2-1 home defeats by Liverpool and then Blackburn Rovers, the Hammers returned to winning ways in some style, recording a second win at Arsenal in as many visits.

On the day, it came as no surprise that Martin Allen opened the scoring, having netted in each of the club's previous three outings.

It would, however, take until the 77th minute to break the deadlock, before Trevor Morley wrapped things up with just two minutes left on the clock.

As it turned out, it was Bonds' last victory in charge, as his side ended the campaign with a goalless draw at Queens Park Rangers, followed by a 3-3 stalemate at home to Southampton.

Despite a perfectly respectable 14th-place finish, Bonds would resign the following August, paving the way for Harry Redknapp's appointment.
