Classic match

West Ham United 2-1 Everton
Premier League
19 December 1998

The Hammers extended their unbeaten home run to eight games as a Trevor Sinclair goal 15 minutes from the end halted their visitors' own run of four matches without a loss.

Marc Keller got the ball rolling in fluky fashion as his cross from the left fooled Thomas Myhre in the Toffees' goal and floated into the net after 19 minutes.

The visitors weren't at their best but pulled level after 71 minutes when Danny Cadamarteri volleyed home a Nicky Barmby cross.

The home side didn't have to wait long to regain the lead as Sinclair produced a diving header from Keller's cross for a goal which proved decisive.
