Danny Potts played the first half as England Under-18s cruised to a 3-0 win against Poland in Crewe on Wednesday evening.
Goals from Jordie Hiwula, Hallam Hope and debutant Matt Lecointe sealed a 3-0 victory for the home side in the final game of their season. After taking a short while to gel, the Young Lions found their feet and took the game to their opponents and opened the scoring through Hiwula on 36 minutes. Hope doubled the lead on the hour mark before Lecointe completed a good night's work with 25 minutes to go.
Potts looked assured throughout and helped keep the visitors at bay with some composed defending before departing in a pre-arranged substitution at the break.
England play two fixtures a season at Under-18 level to ensure youngsters who have impressed for their clubs have a chance to continue their development between the important Under-17 and Under-19 age-groups.
