Supporters wanting to play on the pitch at the Boleyn Ground and be managed by two former Hammer players can do so at a special pitch event this summer.
Fans wanting to secure their place and play in a team managed by former West Ham United stars Julian Dicks and Tony Gale will need to move fast to book their places. 'The Big Match' at the historic home of the Hammers takes place on 17 May 2012 with 32 Places up for grabs as part of the two squads managed the former West Ham players.
Would-be players can bid for a place in either squad, with a proportion of the proceeds being donated to charity. Organised by Football Nights, the successful bidders will change into their kit in the Boleyn Ground dressing rooms before taking to the pitch for a 90-minute match complete with officials.
Squads will comprise of 16 players each, with roll-on roll-off substitutions meaning everyone gets a chance to sample the unique and unforgettable atmosphere. Following the final whistle, both teams will be presented with medals and have their photos taken.
There will also be match action shots available on a post-match CD, while every player will be able to keep their kit as well.
There is no fixed price to play, you need simply to place a bid stating how much you are bidding, which team you want to play in and in what position. If you are a keen Hammers fan and can kick a ball-this is a must for you.
