Hall heading to Oxford

Robert Hall has become the latest homegrown Hammer to go out on loan with a month-long stay at Oxford United.

The forward has been in sparkling form for the development squad this season, scoring six goals in seven matches despite still being eligible for Tony Carr's Under-18s. Hall, who has yet to figure in the West Ham United first team, could make his Oxford debut in Tuesday night's League Two match at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Still only 17, the England youth international may line up against club-mate Olly Lee, who is in the middle of his own loan spell at Dagenham. There are three other young Hammers currently experiencing League Two life, namely Ahmed Abdulla (Swindon Town), Jordan Brown (Aldershot Town) and Callum McNaughton (AFC Wimbledon).

Meanwhile, Cristian Montano is lighting up League One in a successful stay at Notts County that included a weekend winner against Walsall, and Jordan Spence is spending the whole season at Championship club Bristol City.
