Loanees have day to remember

Cristian Montano, Ahmed Abdulla and Jordan Brown were all successful on Saturday with their respective loan clubs.

Montano made the most striking contribution with a well-taken individual goal in Notts County's 3-1 win at home to Bournemouth, scoring barely ten minutes after coming on as a 75th-minute substitute. The League One side's manager Martin Allen has just recorded an exclusive interview with West Ham TV about Montano's progress. Watch out for that soon via whufc.com.

It was also a memorable afternoon for Abdulla (pictured) and Brown, with the pair making their Football League debuts after being loaned out on deadline day to rival League Two clubs.

Abdulla was sent to Paolo Di Canio's Swindon Town and promptly helped them win 3-2 at home to Rotherham for their first victory in four matches. The midfielder came on for the last half-hour of the televised fixture and in the final 30 minutes he was on the field, Swindon turned a 2-1 deficit into a vital three points.

Left-back Jordan Brown showed he was over his recent injury woes as he played the whole game for Dean Holdsworth's Aldershot Town in a 1-0 success away to Cheltenham Town. The Shots are also on a roll in the Carling Cup and Brown could figure when they take on Rochdale in the third round on 20 September.

Finally, Olly Lee has also been used to winning with Dagenham & Redbridge but could not help them falling to a 1-0 defeat away to Hereford Town. The midfielder played the whole game once again at the heart of the Daggers midfield and continues to pick up valuable League Two experience.
