A goalscoring midfielder, leader and inspirational figure, Kevin Nolan has enjoyed huge success with Bolton Wanderers and Newcastle United during his playing career.

Born in Liverpool, Nolan spent a decade in the first-team squad at Bolton, scoring exactly 50 goals in 345 appearances and regularly being tipped for full international honours.

Nolan maintained his consistency during a two-and-a-half year spell at Newcastle, where he captained the Magpies to the Championship title in 2009/10. In his first season at the Boleyn Ground, the skipper led West Ham United to npower Championship Play-Off final glory against Blackpool at Wembley.

2014/15

After starting the campaign against Spurs, was ruled out for five weeks due to a fractured shoulder suffered in training, returning from the bench in the 2-1 defeat at Mancheser United on 27 September 2014.

2013/14

Opens his account for the season with the second goal in a 2-0 home win over Cardiff City in the Barclays Premier League...Was sent-off for a mistimed tackle on Jon Flanagan at Liverpool on 7 December 2013...Scored his second goal of the campaign as West Ham drew 3-3 with West Bromwich Albion on 28 December 2013...Was dismissed for the second time in less than a month for lashing out at Fulham's Fernando Amorebieta on New Year's Day, leading to a four-game ban...Rekindled his fruitful pertnership with Andy Carroll by scoring twice from Carroll assists against Swansea City on 1 February 2014...Notched another brace in his next match, scoring twice in the first three minutes of the second half to secure a 2-0 win at Aston Villa...Was on the scoresheet again in the 3-1 win over Southampton on 22 February...Ended the season as the Hammers' top goalscorer with seven goals to his name.
