Downham denied winner

West Ham United Ladies 1-1 Charlton Athletic Ladies

A harshly-awarded penalty in the sixth minute of added time cost West Ham United their 100 per cent record in the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division.

Toni-Anne Wayne was sent off for a challenge which saw the referee award Charlton a spot-kick just as another Hammers victory seemed certain. The penalty was converted to dash home hopes, with Nina Downham having put them in front. It was Downham's second goal in four matches.
