Frank driven to succeed

Frank Nouble is aiming to help West Bromwich Albion continue down the road to promotion from the Coca-Cola Championship - despite failing his driving theory test for a second time.

The West Ham United loanee will hope to return to the Baggies' squad when Roberto Di Matteo's side take on relegation-threatened Sheffield Wednesday at The Hawthorns.

West Brom go into Tuesday's match a point behind second-place Nottingham Forest with a game in-hand. Victory would also close the gap on leaders Newcastle United to six points.

Nouble, who missed Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Queens Park Rangers, has twin goals of scoring for West Brom and passing his driving test.

"I've had my theory test a couple of times now but I haven't passed it so hopefully it will be third time lucky," Nouble told the Sunday Mercury.

"I'm getting around thanks to lifts off team-mates or I have a cousin back in London who lives near me and when he's not doing much he can help me out with lifts.

"It's frustrating when you see the training ground car park full but I'm not exactly old, I've just turned 18 so I've got a lot of time to get through my driving test.

"I'm hoping to get it by the summer, hopefully I'll be driving by the end of the season. Then I'll have a lot of free time to go driving around in the summer."

Meanwhile, fellow loanee Holmar Orn Eyjolfsson's KSV Roeselare have had their vital Belgian league match with second-placed Club Brugge KV rearranged for Sunday 14 March.

The match, which was originally due to be played on 7 March, will see Roeselare go for a win that could lift them above KSC Lokeren and out of the relegation play-off position.

Following Sunday's match, Roeselare will contest their first-ever Belgian Cup semi-final, with the first-leg tie at KSV Cercle Brugge scheduled for Friday 19 March. The second leg will take place 48 hours later.
