Big night at the Boleyn

West Ham United begin on the road to Wembley on Tuesday night with Avram Grant poised to name a strong squad for the visit of Oxford United.

The Hammers will be looking to build on Saturday's positive performance, even if the result did not ultimately go their way, and move into the Carling Cup third round. The club have imposed a radical pricing strategy with tickets at £5 for kids and £10 for adults - the lowest at the Boleyn Ground for more than a decade.

As a homegrown Hammer who came through the youth ranks, midfielder Mark Noble recognises the importance of the club reaching out to families. "It is great that we can offer the tickets at these prices to all our fans for tonight's Carling Cup match against Oxford United and we hope to see as many of them as possible.

"Oxford will come here looking to get a result and we must make sure we are ready for them. It won't be easy, but we all would love to get a nice cup run on the go. That would be good.

"Obviously we were disappointed with Saturday's result and we know the fans must have been as well, but we need them cheering us on again. We can look to get the Bolton match out of our system quickly and hopefully send everyone home happy with a win."

OXFORD TICKETS AT £5 FOR KIDS AND £10 FOR ADULTS

Meanwhile, the club's Ticket Office have asked supporters that have pre-purchased tickets and have yet to receive them, or those wanting to pay on the day, to arrive at the stadium well in advance of the kick-off.

The Ticket Office will be open from 9am through to kick-off at 7.45pm, while fans can simply pay and enter using cash at a number of the turnstiles situated around the stadium. Individual turnstiles will be identified by signs directly above the entrance saying whether they are for cash or ticket only. Once again, early arrival is advised.
