Four-star show from U18s

West Ham United Under-18s extended their unbeaten FA Premier Academy League run to six matches with a 4-0 victory at MK Dons.

After being held goalless for the opening 55 minutes, Danny Subuola, Matthias Fanimo (pictured), Dylan Tombides and Dominic Vose all found the target to complete a comprehensive success. The only sour note came in the shape of a late red card for Vose.

Having draw their previous three league matches 1-1, the Hammers took advantage of a free weekend by defeating LA Galaxy 5-0 seven days ago, and Tony Carr's side demonstrated the same ruthless streak at an MK Dons side that have won just two of their 26 league games this season.

After being frustrated throughout a tight first half, Subuola put the Hammers ahead from Vose's low cross before Fanimo scored a carbon-copy goal from George Moncur's centre. Tombides made it 3-0 before Vose cut inside from the left and curled a shot in off the far post.

West Ham have now won eight, drawn eight and lost eight of their 24 league matches, and return to action at Arsenal on Wednesday morning. Carr's youngsters complete their campaign with trips to Watford and Southampton before hosting Charlton Athletic on Friday 7 May.

Post-match reaction from Academy Director Tony Carr will appear on whufc.com on Monday.
