Heavyweight date at Boleyn

British heavyweight title contender Sam Sexton is looking to send Danny Williams to retirement on the back of a defeat at the Boleyn Ground fight night on Saturday 15 May - and has Evander Holyfield in his sights.

Sexton will take on Williams as part of a bumper undercard to Kevin Mitchell's interim WBO world lightweight title challenge against Michael Katsidis. The 25-year-old knows that if he comes through, he might get a crack at four-time world heavyweight champion Holyfield.

The American defeated Francois Botha at the weekend in Las Vegas with an eighth-round stoppage to ensure the fight remains a possibility. "Being linked to a fight with Holyfield shows that my name is beginning to be known by the big boys," said Sexton.

"I've got a great chance to build on my reputation when I fight Danny Williams on 15 May. Everyone in the States knows him as the man who beat Mike Tyson and fought Vitali Klitschko, so when I've knocked him out, they'll know all about me as well.

"Danny's been a great champion but it's time for the next generation to come through. Danny has said that he's going to pack it in after this fight, but I'll send him into retirement off the back of a loss, not a victory."

Tickets are selling fast for 'Hammer Time' headlined by the Mitchell-Katsidis fight with the packed undercard including the British and Commonwealth heavyweight championship between Danny Williams and Sam Sexton.

Olympic Gold medallist James DeGale is also on the bill as he challenges for the first title in his career - the WBA international super-middleweight championship along with unbeaten heavyweight star Derek Chisora; and Britain's hottest young prospects Frankie Gavin and Billy Joe Saunders. Plus more fights to be added.
