West Ham United Under-18s will travel to Ipswich Town on Saturday eager to end their winless FA Premier Academy League run.
The Hammers head for Ipswich's Playford Road training centre looking to record their first victory since a 2-1 opening-day success at Everton on 22 August.
Since then, Tony Carr's side have gone down to defeats by Stoke City, Tottenham Hotspur and Birmingham City.
Last weekend, however, the U18s produced a fine rearguard action to secure a goalless draw with Cardiff City at Little Heath, despite being reduced to ten-men following right-back Filip Modelski's sending-off early in the second half.
Modelski will be available at Ipswich, as his one-match suspension will see him miss the visit of Southampton on 3 October, while the likes of forward Cristian Montano and defender Callum Driver will both be hopeful of starts after impressing as substitutes against Cardiff. Captain Jordan Brown, Nick Barrett, Ahmed Abdulla and George Moncur, all of whom did well against the Bluebirds, should also feature.
The Tractor Boys themselves have made a strong start to the 2009/10 season, losing just one of their opening five matches and winning 2-1 at MK Dons last Saturday.
Saturday marks the first of West Ham's Group A matches, having opened their campaign with five fixtures against clubs from the three other groups. Ipswich sit third in the table, while the Hammers are seventh.
Kick-off at Ipswich will be at 11am.
