West Ham United can confirm that this Tuesday's reserve-team visit of Birmingham City will be played at the Boleyn Ground and also that two first-team dates have been changed.
The 8 September contest, which has been moved from Bishop's Stortford's Woodside Park home, could see the return of Valon Behrami after his recovery from a knee injury suffered back in March in a home win against Manchester City. Alex Dyer's second string lost 2-1 at Aston Villa last Tuesday in their first Barclays Premier Reserve League fixture of the season but will hope for better at home. Kick-off is at 7pm.
It remains to be seen whether there will be a first run-out in claret and blue for Manuel Da Costa and Alessandro Diamanti, while the match should give fans the chance to run the rule over the talented crop of youngsters coming through including Bondz 'Gala, Oliver Lee, Josh Payne and Anthony Edgar. Up front Frank Nouble and Zavon Hines may get another opportunity to reprise the partnership that showed promising glimpses up at Villa Park.
Supporters should also take note of two first-team fixture changes. The matches against Fulham and Everton have been moved because of their UEFA Europa League involvement and will take place at 3pm on Sunday 4 October and Sunday 8 November respectively. The Carling Cup trip to Bolton Wanderers has been set for Tuesday 22 September, with the third-round tie kicking off at 8pm.
