19-year-old defender Matthew Fry is set to join League One side Gillingham on an initial one month loan deal.
The former West Ham United Under-18 captain, comfortable at either centre-half or left-back, will join up with the rest of Mark Stimson's squad ahead of their weekend trip to MK Dons.
The Gills have had a mixed start to life in League One following their promotion last season and currently sit 12th in the table. The MK Dons could provide Fry and his new team-mates with a tough test as they are fourth in the standings, just four points from the top.
Fry joins Jordan Spence, Holmar Eyjolfsson, Anthony Edgar and Freddie Sears as Academy graduates all learning their trade away from the Boleyn Ground on a temporary basis.
