Carlton Cole was pleased with the manner in which England concluded their 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign and wants to transfer that winning feeling to club level.
Cole once more impressed when he came on as a second-half substitute for the Three Lions, helping to set up Peter Crouch's second goal ten minutes after coming on as England cruised to victory over Belarus.
"It was brilliant - a nice convincing 3-0 win," Cole told WHUTV. "It could have been more and I'm happy for everyone that was involved and that has had their fair share and contributed to us getting to the Word Cup."

Cole, like his other team-mates who have been away with their countries, will return to Chadwell Heath for training on Thursday. Thoughts will immediately turn to ensuring West Ham United come away from their visit to Stoke City's Britannia Stadium on Saturday with a result.
"When I come to England I am focused on England and when I go to West Ham I am focused on West Ham. I am going back to West Ham I have got to try to help. We've been in this situation before and we've got some good pros who will help the young players progress so it should be good."
