New kit proving popular

Robert Green has been the centre of attention this week with claiming the England No1 spot - and that has been reflected in pre-orders of the new 2009/10 West Ham United kit.

Sales for Green's new Umbro away shirt have gone very well with budding keepers everywhere seemingly eager to look the same as the 2008/09 Hammer of the Year runner-up. A marked difference to the black and orange combinations Green wore during the season just gone, the new silver-effect shirt is complemented by matching shorts and socks.

The new away goalkeeper's kit is available for pre-order now ahead of the official launch on Thursday 18 June, as is the outfield away kit modelled by Jack Collison and Carlton Cole in the club's publicity material. That too has proved a big hit, with fans ordering the dark blue kit - with striking sky blue panel - in large numbers since it was first unveiled on Monday morning.

Supporters have also been flocking to snap up the new 2008/9 Umbro training range, which has been endorsed by Junior Stanislas, Mark Noble and Matthew Upson - England internationals at U20, U21 and senior level respectively.
