Robert Hall helped England's Under-17 side move a step closer to the final of the Nordic International Youth Tournament with two goals in an 8-0 thrashing of the Faroe Islands on Wednesday.
West Ham United striker Hall, 15, scored the opening two goals for his country after eleven and 21 minutes at the Tydal Stadium in Trondheim, Norway.
Liverpool's Andre Wisdom and West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino also scored twice apiece to put England 6-0 up at half-time. Second half substitutes Jake Fowler of Middlesbrough, and Zeli Ismail of Wolverhampton Wanderers completed the rout after the break.
Having drawn their opening match 1-1 with Denmark, coach Kenny Swain's team must now beat the host nation in their final Group A fixture at the Overlands Minde Stadium on Friday to reach Sunday's final.
Norway goes into the match top of the group, having added a 3-1 victory over Denmark to their opening 7-0 thumping of the Faroese.
The Danes cannot reach the final, but can deny England second place in the group should Swain's side lose and the Scandinavians score enough goals in beating the Faroe Islands to overcome a ten-goal deficit.
Finland, Iceland, Scotland and Sweden are battling it out in Group B, with the final between the two group winners being held at the Overlands Minde Stadium on Sunday 2 August at 3pm UK time.
Further details of England's comprehensive victory over the Faroese will follow soon.
