Freddie Sears scored a superb solo goal for Crystal Palace as they ran out 3-0 winners against Bristol Rovers.
After two half-chances in the opening 19 minutes, Sears struck soon after. The 19-year-old expertly controlled a long ball from Clint Hill, before cleverly flicking the ball over his marker's head and finishing low and hard with his left foot.
More good work from Sears in the second period almost set up his strike partner Danny Coyle, whose shot just clipped the top of the crossbar. The Academy product then came close to grabbing his second when he made some space for himself before flashing a shot across the face of the Rovers' goal.
Two late goals from Neil Danns and Alessane 'Diaye completed the scoring for the Eagles in Friday night's fixture.
Sears, who also scored twice during Palace's tour of the United States earlier this month, will be looking to hit the net again when the Eagles take on League One new-boys Norwich City at Selhurst Park on Tuesday evening.
