West Ham United Community Sports Trust will be well represented once again this weekend with the Barking and Dagenham Olympic 2012 Countdown Event.
Taking place from 11am to 5pm in Barking Town Square on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July, the event will feature the Community Trust coaches delivering a a variety of Olympic-themed sports taster sessions for children and young people including football, handball, tennis, basketball as well as a variety of fun fitness challenges.
The family fun days are being held to celebrate the official countdown to the Olympics, and will also include a full size beach volleyball court, art workshops, music and dance as well as the Gateway to the Games information area.
West Ham United will also have an area at the event promoting the forthcoming holiday courses and the upcoming friendly fixture versus Napoli in the Bobby Moore Cup. There will also be a competition draw for match tickets and a signed shirt.
It all follows the club's activity at the Barking and Dagenham Town Show, which was held in Central Park, Dagenham. Coaches were on hand delivering handball, basketball, football and athletics coaching sessions for local young people, as well as fitness testing in partnership with the Primary Care Trust.

We are keen to maintain a high level of support to deliver services in partnership with the Barking and Dagenham Olympic Ambition Team."
