West Ham United's brand new Umbro home kit for the 2009/10 season has officially been revealed today - with Ray Winstone the first to don the new-look strip.
The die-hard fan and Hollywood actor took time out from his busy schedule to take part in a special promotional photo-shoot at the Boleyn Ground as part of the club's new 'I'm Forever' campaign with a host of local supporters also getting involved. The new-look kit will be available from the club's Lakeside and Stadium stores and online Megastore from Thursday 30 July but can be pre-ordered today by clicking here.
Speaking to WHUTV, Ray said: "I actually really like it. It is comfortable. It is claret and they reckon they are going to have white shorts with claret socks. It is nice - it makes me feel very slim funny enough! It is the claret and blue and that's all I am worried about … this is beautiful, it is claret and blue, what else do you want?"
Want to see more? Then check out the special interview with Ray available now by clicking on the link via the whufc.com homepage freeplayer. Here you can also see a host of exclusive free WHUTV content every week including Gianfranco Zola's broadcast press conferences and special tasters of exclusive Hammers action and reaction.
Meanwhile, the 2009/10 away kit - worn for the first time in the 2-1 friendly victory at Grays Athletic on Sunday - continues to prove popular with fans flocking to snap up the striking new navy blue strip. You can also get hold of selected items from the new season Umbro Training Range, which will be worn throughout the squad's summer tours of Austria and China this month, by visiting the club stores in person or online.
