There was not just a London derby for the men's first team this weekend as West Ham United Ladies took on Queen's Park Rangers Ladies at both senior and junior levels.
The first game saw the seniors maintain their unbeaten start to the 2009/10 FA Tesco Women's Premier League season after a 1-1 draw at Thurrock. In the scorching summer sunshine, Giselle Subryan grabbed a second-half equaliser for the home side.
And it was honours even for the three junior teams as they travelled to the QPR's training ground near Heathrow, leaving with a win, a draw and a defeat. The Under-16s were comprehensive winners, putting eight past their opponents without reply. Danielle Robertson was the star player with four of the goals.
The Under-12s drew their game 1-1, while the Under-14s did not fair quite so well, going down 8-1 to the Hoops.
West Ham United Ladies' first team are next in action this Sunday when they travel to Cardiff City.
