West Ham United Ladies kicked off their 2009/10 FA Tesco Women's Premier League South season with a 2-2 with Keynsham Ladies.
The Hammers began the campaign with an impressive performance and were unlucky not to leave the West Country with all three points. Tony Marshall's side raced into an early two goal lead before the break through goals from Gemma Shepherd and Jess Barling, only to see the hosts hit back with two goals of their own after the break.
West Ham had their chances to win the game late on, but in the end had to be content with taking a point back down the M4.
The Hammers are next in action when they host Queen's Park Rangers at Thurrock on Sunday.
