Jonathan Spector is in confident mood ahead of the United States' vital 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Mexico City on Wednesday evening.
The 23-year-old was an ever-present as the US reached the final of the FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa earlier this summer.
Spector is expecting a tough evening at the Estadio Azteca - the venue for the 1970 and 1986 World Cup finals - but believes Bob Bradley's side have what it takes to repeat the 2-0 home victory they scored over the Mexicans in February.
"We know it is going to be a difficult," he said. "Obviously Mexico are a good team. They've got a lot of talented players and you have the difficulties of travelling, the altitude and the fans, but it is like that many times when we go away and we just have to concentrate on our preparation and our own performance and be confident."
The US sit second in the six-team CONCACAF qualifying standings, two points behind leaders Costa Rica with five matches remaining. Mexico are fourth, four points behind the Americans and a point behind third-placed Honduras.
