A few places are available for young fans wanting to take part in the West Ham United in the Community coaching courses to be held during May.
West Ham United in the Community aim to provide a safe and friendly environment for children of all abilities aged six-14 years to enjoy football, with the emphasis on fun, enjoyment and participation. Each child will be put into a group according to their age and ability and have the chance to be recommended for a session in front of an Academy coach.
Courses start at 9.30am and finish at 2.30pm, with the children focusing on learning new skills in the morning before games take place in the afternoon. Mick King, West Ham United in the Community Chief Executive, said: "The new community coaching courses provide exciting learning opportunities for young players. An additional course feature will be Academy-led sessions for selected players which will offer an advanced level of coaching - providing a talent identification opportunity to progress players for Academy trials."
Two-day courses are £25 while four-day courses are £45 per child. To book a place, please call the Community department on 020 7473 7720 or download an information sheet and application form.
