Reserves win on WHUTV

WHUTV is the place to be to see all the action from last night's reserve-team 2-1 victory against Reading as well as the post-match thoughts of Kevin Keen.

Jack Collison's wonder strike and an own goal from Ibrahima Sonko put West Ham United on course for victory, although Dave Kitson was able to hit a late consolation. All the action and reaction is available now in the Bubbling Under channel, with other performances to catch the eye including James Tomkins in central defence and an outstanding debut from Adam Street in goal.

Speaking to WHUTV, Keen said: "This season, the group that we have got of older youth-team players and young pros is a really good crop. They work hard, the intensity that they play at is wonderful and they have got a little bit of talent as well. The performance was one of the best I have seen since I have been reserve-team manager.

"Especially going forward, we showed some good little bits of play. Jack Collison's goal summed it up. It was a wonderful goal with quick movement and a super finish. Then we had a little bit of luck with the second goal but that's the other side of our team. You have got people like Zavon Hines and Luis Boa Morte who don't just play when we have got the ball. They run, they chase and they forced the big centre-back into a mistake."
