West Ham United are pleased to confirm selling arrangements and match ticket prices for the pre-season friendly at the Boleyn Ground against Villarreal.
Tickets for the 9 August fixture will go on sale first to season ticket holders from Monday 14 July, before Academy members (21 July) and general sale (24 July). Match ticket prices will be reduced for all supporters with season ticket holders and members that book during their priority period receiving a discount from the standard matchday price. It promises to be an entertaining encounter in keeping with last season's curtain-raiser against AS Roma when goals from George McCartney and Dean Ashton in a 2-1 win provided the perfect platform for the new season.
This season's contest could see the Spanish giants feature three players who may figure in Sunday's Euro 2008 final - namely Joan Capedevila, Marcos Senna and Santi Cazorla, along with a host of other famous names who helped the club finish second in the 2007/08 Primera Division. Alan Curbishley's side could also boast a number of players returning from injury. After a busy pre-season programme, it will be the last chance for the first team to be put through their paces before the Barclays Premier League campaign begins on 16 August.
