Alan Curbishley's squad can be seen being put through their paces for the first time since the last campaign, with double sessions the order of the day and many sporting unfamiliar hairstyles. Among those involved on the training pitches have been Matthew Upson, James Collins, Lee Bowyer, Matthew Etherington, Julien Faubert, Kieron Dyer and Craig Bellamy raising hopes that Alan Curbishley will have plenty of options come the start of the season on 16 August. The players have also been wearing the brand new Umbro training range, which is available to buy at both Lakeside and Stadium stores this weekend.
