West Ham United fans have been reminded about the Giant New Year Programme Fair being held on Sunday.
Being staged at the Royal National Hotel in Woburn Place, London WC1 - just two minutes from Russell Square station - the event runs from 10.30am to 4pm. Admission is just £1.50 and tens of thousands of programmes, tickets, books, badges, postcards and other souvenirs will be available.
"For just a few pounds it is still possible to pickup an England programme from the period when Bobby Moore captained the side to rather greater success than our current squad," said organisers. "Don't expect to find the programme from that World Cup final for a bargain price, however, as a good condition example now commands around £100."
As well as filling the gaps in your collection, or just starting out, those going along can sell their own memorabilia and get expert advice from many of the dealers present. Organisers added: "The Giant New Year Fair also features the small but fascinating exhibition stand painstakingly organised each year by football historian and author, Bryan Horsnell. On display will be vintage ladies' match programmes plus some unusual memorabilia relating to the Hammers' 1966 World Cup heroes."
