Nottingham Forest 3-1 West Ham United FT
90 minutes - Full time from the CityGround. A frustrating night for Tony Carr's side who go out of the cup at the first hurdle. They can take heart from their performance, though, as on a different day they could have had four or five goals.
89 minutes - Another corner is half-cleared by Forest, but is swung back in to the box. Montano gets up and looks to have got one back only for Darlow to once more thwart the visitors.
87 minutes - United are fighting hard as several promising-looking attacks break down at the last moment. They will feel they deserve more from the game.
85 minutes - The cold weather is starting to effect the players now. Modelski goes down with cramp. While he is down, Bajner has a great chace in front of goal but he cannot quite direct his volley on target
83 minutes - Darlow just gets to a cross in front of Bajner as the Hungarian waits to pounce
81 minutes - More bad news for the Hammers as Brookes has to leave the field with an injury. Callum McNaughton comes on to replace him
79 minutes - GOAL! But the goal is in vein as Hopkinson runs straight through the visiting defence to pass the ball under Street, Can United come back again?
77 minutes - GOAL! And the pressure finally pays off as Abdulla runs onto a chipped through-ball and superbly lobs the ball over Darlow's head. Fantastic goal and West Ham United are back in it
75 minutes - Another great save from Darlow keeps Lee at bay once more
73 minutes - So close! A fantastic 30-yard effort from Lee is just tipped wide by Darlow. Surely the Hammers will break through soon
71 minutes - Carr makes his second change by bringing on Georg Grasser for Conor Okus as Forest just miss with a header from a corner
67 minutes - But it comes to nothing as solid header clears the danger. It is relentless pressure from the team in light blue at present
66 minutes - Carr is busy discussing his options with the coaching staff on the touchline. Modelski is felled on the right-hand side of the area. Free-kick to United.
63 minutes - A great chance for United sees Montano fire just over from the edge of the area. Edgar goes on a mazy run into the box but gets tackled at the last moment. The away side are looking a much bigger threat over the last few minutes.
62 minutes - Carr makes his first change as he replaces Kearns with Ahmed Abdulla
60 minutes - Good defending again by Fry. The West Ham United captain showed composure to see the ball back to Street under pressure from a Forest forward
58 minutes - Jordan Brown goes into the book for tugging back Hopkinson on the edge of the area
57 minutes - Carr has his substitutes warming up and he may need to act soon if his side are going to get back in the match
55 minutes - GOAL! Just as the visitors look to be coming back into it, Forest hit them with a sucker punch. A cross from the right-hand side is headed in off the post by Hopkinson.
52 minutes - Edgar has another effort from range but Darlow gathers it safely. It is a bright opening to the second period by the Hammers
49 minutes - West Ham United are lining up in the same 4-4-2 formation used in the first half. Kearns and Montano will look to provide width for the team again
48 minutes - Bajner soon has the first shot of the half, but he does not connect cleanly and the ball bounces harmlessly wide
46 minutes - Bajner and Edgar get us underway in the second half. There are no changes to either side.
45 minutes - The half-time whistle blows and Carr's men walk off a goal down. They deserve more though, and will hope to build on a bright opening period in the second half
45 minutes - A great chance for the visitors to restore parity on the stroke of half-time. Bajner is fouled on the edge of the penalty area. Edgar rolls the ball along the floor for Fry but he blasts his shot high into the stand.
45 minutes - Good work from Lee as, he shows strength and skill to keep hold of the ball in the centre circle. 1 minute of injury time to be played
43 minutes - Edgar tries his luck from distance as the visitors try to get themselves back into the game before the break
39 minutes - Street is called into action again as Rodney gets past Fry and tries to beat the keeper at his near post. The stopper is more than equal to it, though, and beats it away for a corner
38 minutes - Despite the entertaining match on the pitch, there is still plenty of amusement off it as the visiting supporters who have made the trip make themselves heard
36 minutes - Carr's side are playing better and a looping header from Oliver Lee is just too high with Darlow struggling to get there

17 minutes - The wingers are having a great time out there. Montano and Daniel Kearns are swapping sides at will and it is causing the home defence no end of problems. Montano has just been on a breathtaking 50-yard run.
14 minutes - It is all West Ham United. Their sixth corner of the match so far is headed goalwards by Matthew Fry, but it is comfortably saved. The centre-half tries his luck again moments later with a fierce effort from distance, but again it is held by Karl Darlow.
12 minutes - From the resulting corner they nearly take the lead. Brookes heads goalwards and Balint Bajner is just unable to flick it in.
11 minutes - So close to the opening goal! Fantastic build-up play from the visitors allows Montano to shoot,. His effort is deflected off Max Wright and onto the crossbar. Superb play from West Ham United.
