A West Ham United youth eleven went along to Takeley FC on Tuesday night to mark the unveiling of the non-league club's new floodlights.
Club captain Lucas Neill was part of the switching on ceremony, before Tony Carr's side took part in a competitive encounter in difficult weather conditions. Junior Stanislas scored twice and Tony Stokes and Daniel Kearns were also on target in a 4-1 victory against the team from the Essex Olympian Football League Premier Division. Although the U18 season has finished, Carr's side will continue training until the end of the first-team season before the club takes part in the Hong Kong Sevens tournament in May.
