Jack Collison has been named in the Wales squad to take on England in an Under-21 friendly on Wednesday 15 May.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who could find himself up against club-mate Mark Noble in the Wrexham encounter, will hope to do enough to earn a place in the senior team's squad for friendlies away to Iceland and the Netherlands on 28 May and 1 June respectively. Wales U21s are also on the verge of qualifying for the 2009 European U21 Championship play-offs, which will be held in October before next year's finals in Sweden. Collison is hoping to make his third appearance for West Ham United away to Manchester United this coming Saturday.
