West Ham United are saddened to hear of the tragic death of Pat Lampard, who through her husband and son had long held close links with the club and its staff.
The club would like to express its condolences to Pat's family and friends at this difficult time, particularly to Frank Lampard senior and junior along with the couple's other two children, Natalie and Claire. Pat Lampard was a familiar and popular face at the Boleyn Ground and made many friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. West Ham United manager Alan Curbishley said: "I was so sad to hear the news of the loss of Pat Lampard. My mind goes back to when I was an apprentice at West Ham and Pat used to invite me round to hers' and Frank's for dinner and she was always so welcoming and interested to hear what you were doing. My thoughts go out to all her family, she will be very sadly missed."
