Freddie Sears, Jack Collison, Scott Parker and Bobby Zamora have taken part in a special club store appearance at the Boleyn Ground.
The quartet were all promoting the new Umbro Leisurewear range, and hundreds of fans turned out to say hello and get autographs from the first-team foursome. It was the first such public appearance for 18-year-old striker Sears, who got his fourth senior run-out for the club at the weekend. He was well aware what the event meant for the youngsters patiently queuing up for the afternoon event. Many of whom were clutching their No40 shirts as well as the brand new gear.
"It is good meeting fans, being one of them myself," he said, as he took time out from preparing for Saturday's "big game" against Derby County when he will hope to get his first start. He added: "Obviously it is great for them and it makes their day, me, Jack, Bobby and Scotty all coming down." For that day only, all those attending were able to take advantage of special offers running in store, but there are still some offers up for grabs at both the Lakeside and Stadium stores.
There is free shirt printing and an Umbro wallet for any purchase of a men's or boys' home or away replica shirt, while stocks last. Please note this offer does not apply to the online Megastore. Visitors to Lakeside can also meet club legend Tony Cottee on Thursday, click here for more information.
