West Ham United and England legend Sir Trevor Brooking is to be a guest speaker at a special sporting dinner being held on 8 November.
At the Boleyn Ground event, organised by the Thames Gateway Youth Football Project, Sir Trevor will be talking about his illustrious career for both club and country. This will include his time as a player at the Boleyn Ground between 1967 and 1984, his two spells as caretaker manager in 2003 and his 47 caps for England.
He will also tell about his post-match career as a respected television pundit, his three years as chairman of Sport England and his current role as director of football development at the Football Association. The evening's entertainment does not stop there as former West Ham United defender Tony Gale will compere the event while other guests will include Paul Allen and Bobby Barnes.
West Ham United are one of the major partners and supporters of the Thames Gateway Youth Football Project, which since its formation in 1998, has helped more than 45,000 young people enjoy sport and education opportunities through a series of workshops, coaching courses and skills programmes.
