West Ham United can confirm that Christian Dailly has extended his loan spell with Championship club Southampton for a second month.
The Scotland defender's initial four-week stay expired on Monday but the club has agreed to Southampton's request to retain his services until 24 November. The versatile 33-year-old, who has been at the Boleyn Ground since January 2001, could potentially play another six matches for Southampton.
Speaking to the south-coast club's official website, Southampton manager George Burley said: "Christian has come in and done really well and we would like to keep him as long as possible. He is a great pro with great experience." Dailly has made five appearances for Southampton, most recently impressing in Sunday's 1-0 home defeat of Cardiff City.
