Big Match Preview: Hammers v Middlesbrough

West Ham United v Middlesbrough
Saturday 31st March
Upton Park
Kick off: 3pm

Team News:

James Collins is back from international duty with Wales and is in contention for a place in the Hammers' starting line-up. But Matty Upson, Nigel Quashie and Danny Gabbidon are all unlikely to feature.

Middlesbrough midfielder Julio Arca is a doubt with a groin problem, while Lee Cattermole and James Morrison are suspended.

Background:

Hammers are looking to record back-to-back victories after the win against Blackburn Rovers two weeks ago.

Middlesbrough will be looking to claim their second Premiership away win of the season, having beaten Charlton at the Valley in January. They are without a win in four games and have failed to score in three of the last four in all competitions.

In the reverse fixture at the Riverside in November, Massimo Maccarone rifled home the winner to assure the 1-0 victory. The Teessiders last recorded a Premiership 'double' over West Ham United and a win at Upton Park in April 2000.

Stats:

If Marlon Harewood is in the starting line-up it will be his 150th start in a Hammers shirt, while Mark Schwarzer could make his 400th appearance for Middlesbrough.

The referee is Mark Halsey, from Bolton, who has officiated five Middlesbrough games this season but only one Hammers' match - the 3-0 win over Brighton in the FA Cup.
